Live the Dream
Kevin & Sheila Jamieson moved to the USA on an E 2 Visa in 1992. It wasn’t easy ! The decision to move was taken at least a year before; that was easy, sitting on a beach in St Petersburg Florida. The hard part was finding out how to actually go about getting a visa and what type of visa to get.
Investing $100,000 to $200,000 in an enterprise three thousand miles from home can be a daunting prospect because it is very hard to evaluate the worth of an existing business. The Jamieson’s looked at a whole cross section of investments from motels, seven days a week with a huge mortgage, to restaurants, massive competition, to day care centres, lots of regulations, to hairdressers, not enough revenue.
That was just one difficulty. The more research they did about visas and businesses, the more conflicting advice they received. There were a couple of occasions when the whole idea seemed hopeless and the Jamieson’s were ready to give up on their dream of moving to the States. However perseverance paid off and in October 1992 they opened their own maid service in Palm Harbor, Florida. In 1995 they sold the first Royal Maid Service license based in Clearwater, Florida to a couple who came to the USA using an E 2 visa.
There is an uncomplicated route to the USA. The visa requirements are very specific. Make a sufficient investment in a qualifying business and demonstrate to the US Visa officer that you have the skills to operate that business.
There are no guarantees but by following these simple steps you are giving yourself the best chance to live the dream. Live and work in the USA. Royal Maid Enterprises can help you live that dream.
